Anthony Lau is the Southern Region International and M&A Tax Services Leader. He is also Deloitte Private’s Hong Kong Leader and Hong Kong Financial Services Industry Tax Leader. He specializes in Hong Kong, the PRC and international tax planning.

Anthony has rich experience in advising family offices, including working with different stakeholders and/or industry players such as private banks, law firms, multi family offices, single family offices, etc. to lead the delivery of all-round solutions encompassing tax aspects, legal/licensing considerations, succession planning, asset protection, philanthropic advisory, etc. Meanwhile, Anthony also regularly advises clients on international tax issues associated with mergers and acquisitions, inbound and outbound investment, group restructuring and other cross-border transactions involving Hong Kong, the PRC and other Asia Pacific countries.

Anne Quenedey is a registered foreign lawyer in Hong Kong and a registered lawyer in Paris. She has been a tax partner and practitioner across international law firms for over 20 years and has extensive experience in international taxation and international project management.

Peter is both a certified public accountant and an attorney with more than 20 years of experience in tax advisory and planning. He has advised China, Hong Kong and US and other multinational corporations and high net worth individuals on their inbound and outbound transactions, China and international tax issues, investment structuring, regulatory, and business issues; mergers, acquisitions; and the reorganizations of multinationals in China and the Asia Pacific region; structuring of trusts, foundations, estate planning and asset preservation for individuals. He has represented companies and individuals to resolve tax disputes with tax authorities in China and the US.

Previously, Peter was with a major economic consulting firm and also was a tax partner at Deloitte US, where he was responsible for the China Desk in New York, and served as China leader at the firm’s International Centre of Excellence.

Kenneth is Counsel at Deloitte Legal. His practice covers the span of core Deloitte Legal global service offerings, including Corporate/M&A, Contracting and People/Employment Law. At Deloitte Legal Hong Kong, Kenneth often works with Deloitte Tax Hong Kong on the legal aspects of tax-driven projects, including corporate group re-organizations as well as various applications and submissions to tax authorities. In particular, Kenneth has extensive experience in handling and advising on general commercial and corporate finance transactions, including public and private mergers and acquisitions, fundraising as well as general compliance matters.

Kenneth previously worked at the corporate and M&A groups of several global U.S. and U.K. headquartered law firms.

He has also worked at the Listing Division of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and at a U.S. private equity fund. Kenneth is admitted to practice in New York, USA (2011) and Hong Kong (2017). He speaks English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

Vivien is an Associate at the firm. She has been involved in a number of international corporate and commercial transactions as well as advised on multi-national restructuring projects. Vivien is also involved in private client matters, specifically with U.S. related clients. Additionally, by dedicating a lot of time to learn about the Limited Partnership Fund (LPF) regime in Hong Kong, she gave an internal presentation on the LPF and assisted the firm to set up its own LPF.

Prior to joining C&J, Vivien had experience in Fintech and worked in Chengdu, China for two years.
